Library Director

Meet our Director - Chantelle Maxwell

My husband, 3 children, and I moved to Baxter in 2020.  After our first child was born in 2014, I ran a highly rewarding and successful in-home childcare for 10 years. Prior to that I worked as part of a training team at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. My children and childcare families loved spending our free time in the library surrounded by books and attending the many youth programs offered to our community. After many years of utilizing our library as a community member and attending our library’s programming I was excited for the opportunity to become the director in July of 2024. 

My favorite part of being in the library is ordering and unpacking new books and leading the children’s programming. I love being here to see the smiles of the children as they come in to find new books to read. 

My hobbies are reading, traveling, hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
